Team WW Goes Back To School
Happy New Year, Wilde Ones!
2024 is off to a flying start already, with several exciting projects in the pipeline!
This January, the Fashion department at the UCEN Manchester College got in touch, to ask if WW would be willing to collaborate on a shoot with their fashion students; loaning a couple of our pieces, and offering support to students on their first ever photo shoot.
We have fond memories of our time in education at various fashion schools, and were very happy to say yes, eager to share some of the experience that we have learnt in the industry that we love.
The students put together moodboards, for which our team pulled some pieces we thought would fit the brief, and our Studio and Content Manager made her way down to the campus with a few select outfits.
It was evident from the start that the fashion department was abuzz with pupils who were eager to learn, had fresh perspectives and were unafraid to break moulds and do things differently. The perfect environment for the next generation to explore and expand their creative talent.
Their ambition and enthusiasm meant we didn’t feel too guilty for throwing them in the deep end, as latex is a tricker material to shoot/work with than fabric clothing. So on top of navigating hair, makeup, photography, models and props, the students also had to learn about the intricacies of working with delicate latex in a real-world environment.
We’re happy to report that they got on swimmingly and that everything was handled with the utmost care and professionalism.
We can’t wait to see the final pictures! But for now, we thought we’d share some behind-the-scenes pictures of our day with the students at UCEN and can’t wait to see what they do with their big, bright futures!
